About

Bethany is a London-based, British-American theatremaker. She works professionally as a maker, actor, singer, improviser, director, facilitator, and collaborator. Bethany is drawn to new work and adaptations that center female stories. As a director, she works with artists of all disciplines, fusing her love of music, storytelling, movement, and language to create emotionally resonant stories. She believes deeply that theatre can inspire radical empathy and change in audiences, participants, and makers alike.

Since receiving her MFA in Collaborative Theatremaking, Bethany has been directing new work that has performed at King’s Head Theatre, Camden People’s Theatre, Criterion Theatre’s New Writing Showcase, Alphabetti Theatre in Newcastle, and more. As a maker and performer, she has brought her solo show Don’t Use It Against Me to the Horse Hospital in Euston, where she facilitated a workshop on autobiographical solo work.

IN DEVELOPMENT: Bethany is working with Katryna Jordan to create a piece, ST. END, exploring obsolescence, lost friendship, and how to recapture your youth.
